The way Gurudas Shenoy seamlessly blends architectural elements and still-objects is remarkable.
Each artpiece feels like a vibrant snapshot of a moment in time, of structures and spaces, full of life and energy, with practised fluidity!!! The architectural forms in his paintings add a layer of depth and context that complements the spontaneous nature of the drawings too. The sense of immediacy and energy, the bold strokes and textures achieved with charcoal highlighting tactile quality is a treat to the eyes!
Icing on the cake was the musical performance by slide guitarist Prakash Sontakke, accompanied by Adarsh Shenoy on Tabla and Krishna Kashyap on Violin. Happy 60th birthday Gurudas Sir🌷🎂
