Lalit Kala Akademi organised a week-long Painting Camp today, remembering the 50 years of imposition of the Emergency on 25th June 1975.

 


The camp inaugurated by Shri Samar Nanda (Joint Secretary, Ministry of Culture), graced by Shri C.S. Krishna Setty (GC/EB Member), in the presence of Shri Rajeev Kumar (Secretary, LKA), Shri M. Sovan Kumar (DS, P&D I/c), Lalit Kala Akademi), officers and officials of the Akademi.
A detailed workshop was conducted to inspire artists to capture the essence of this significant event.
The camp will run till 25th June 2025, at Rabindra Bhavan, New Delhi.

The second day of the painting camp ‘Remembring 50 Years of Imposition of Emergency’, artists began the day with initial sketches, and layout plotting setting the foundation for the powerful visuals to come. #LongLiveDemocracy
