Pathare Art Circle presents the first “Artist of the Month” award!
“An artist who consistently brings forth the beauty and rhythm in his creations—Santosh Shirsat!”
Viewing many of Santosh Shirsat’s paintings evokes a range of emotions.
The artist’s consistency and dedication to art throughout his life are essential qualities, and these prominently shine through in his work. His ability to subtly capture the traits of a beautiful, sensitive personality in his paintings is truly remarkable. For years, he has been devoted to his art, and this dedication is evident in his work, accompanied by his extremely calm demeanor.
“I see my own reflection in my work,” says the artist, who expresses himself so beautifully through his paintings. The unique use of colours, lines, and composition in his work sets him apart. While his creations appear visually soothing, the method behind them is undoubtedly complex. The expressions and observations captured in some of his portraits are so profound that one can’t help but notice the emotions etched on the subject’s face. This emotional depth is a defining feature of his artwork.
His body of work is vast, which becomes evident upon viewing several of his paintings. Furthermore, he has made significant contributions as an art teacher, continuously sharing his knowledge. He holds a Master in Fine Arts (2011) and has qualified NET in Visual Art. Throughout his career, he has received several prestigious awards, including those from the Bombay Art Society, Camel Art Foundation, and the K.K. Hebbar Award, and has participated in many art workshops and solo exhibition.
Some of his works evoke memories of the great Pathare Sir and Kolte Sir’s artistic visions, which is quite special.
Considering his consistency, effortlessness, rhythmic approach, and diverse use of colours, we are delighted to award him the Pathare Art Circle’s “Artist of the Month” for this month.

ಪಠಾರೆ ಆರ್ಟ್ ಸರ್ಕಲ್ ಮೊದಲ “ತಿಂಗಳ ಕಲಾವಿದ” ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ನೀಡುತ್ತದೆ! “ತಮ್ಮ ರಚನೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸೌಂದರ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ಲಯವನ್ನು ಸತತವಾಗಿ ಮುಂದಿಡುವ ಕಲಾವಿದ-ಸಂತೋಷ್ ಶಿರ್ಸತ್!”ಸಂತೋಷ್ ಶಿರ್ಸತ್ ಅವರ ಅನೇಕ ವರ್ಣಚಿತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ವೀಕ್ಷಿಸುವುದರಿಂದ ಹಲವಾರು ಭಾವನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಉಂಟುಮಾಡುತ್ತದೆ. ಕಲಾವಿದನ ಸ್ಥಿರತೆ ಮತ್ತು ಅವನ ಜೀವನದುದ್ದಕ್ಕೂ ಕಲೆಗೆ ಸಮರ್ಪಣೆ ಅತ್ಯಗತ್ಯ ಗುಣಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಇವುಗಳು ಅವರ ಕೆಲಸದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಮುಖವಾಗಿ ಹೊಳೆಯುತ್ತವೆ. ಅವರ ಚಿತ್ರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸುಂದರ, ಸೂಕ್ಷ್ಮ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿತ್ವದ ಲಕ್ಷಣಗಳನ್ನು ಸೂಕ್ಷ್ಮವಾಗಿ ಹಿಡಿದಿಟ್ಟುಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಅವರ ಸಾಮರ್ಥ್ಯ ನಿಜವಾಗಿಯೂ ಗಮನಾರ್ಹವಾಗಿದೆ. ವರ್ಷಗಳಿಂದ, ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಕಲೆಗೆ ಮೀಸಲಿಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಮತ್ತು ಅವರ ಕೆಲಸದಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ಸಮರ್ಪಣೆಯು ಅವರ ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಶಾಂತ ವರ್ತನೆಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟವಾಗಿ ಕಂಡುಬರುತ್ತದೆ. “ನನ್ನ ಕೆಲಸದಲ್ಲಿ ನನ್ನ ಸ್ವಂತ ಪ್ರತಿಬಿಂಬವನ್ನು ನಾನು ನೋಡುತ್ತೇನೆ” ಎಂದು ಕಲಾವಿದ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ, ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ವರ್ಣಚಿತ್ರಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ ತುಂಬಾ ಸುಂದರವಾಗಿ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ. . ಅವರ ಕೆಲಸದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಣ್ಣಗಳು, ರೇಖೆಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಸಂಯೋಜನೆಯ ಅನನ್ಯ ಬಳಕೆ ಅವರನ್ನು ಪ್ರತ್ಯೇಕಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.
